Hi Friends,

It is a great pleasure to be a part of this lovely and lively evening / gathering and more so to have the pleasure and privilege of being amongst the first witnesses to admire these latest creations of this great artist whom we lovingly call ALKA.

I call her an artist and not just a Painter as she is full of creativity and art in several forms be it dance or music or journalism writing interesting columns on art in leading national dailies and leading magazines or even painting. It’s like the TATAS saying that we also make Steel ! A highly versatile person, widely traveled, well educated and very knowledgeable on all subjects and particularly on ART. Her creations speak a lot about her creativity and her simplicity and her rapidly growing TRPs’ in the media particularly over the last few years, is enough evidence of the immense admiration she enjoys particularly among the art lovers in India as well as abroad.

ART as we know, is deeply embedded in the word HEART and I firmly believe that “ As good a HEART, as good the ART. And this is all Alka about. She is truly a great personality in the creative world, full of life and zeal and above all, a good human being. We wish her every success in her future endeavors.

Friends, you now have a difficult choice this evening. To admire these beautiful creations of Alka or to enjoy the divine taste of Chivas. I first thought Chivas made a mistake in putting such nice paintings to loose focus on their drink but on second thought I feel they both actually complement each other rather than to compete and I am sure that together, they will make the evening all the more lively. So admire the art and enjoy the Chivas. Cheers to Alka. I wish her all the luck and admiration and I wish you all a great evening ahead.

Once again I compliment and congratulate Alka for giving out her true heart in these wonderful paintings and we look forward to many more of her creations and all the success in the years ahead.
