After meticulous technology evaluations across the global spectrum, PCI tied-up with Diamond Aircraft Industries of Austria to bring into India, and the region, a complete range of high-technology single engine, twin engine and jet aircraft, and flight simulator solutions. This was due to their high fuel -efficiency, fully composite construction, high-end avionics, engines with unique options, user-friendliness, etc. Over time, I believe it was only natural for PCI and Diamond Aircraft to extend this collaboration to address various surveillance and mapping needs through the multi-purpose platform specially designed to carry multi-functional aerial sensor equipment such as cameras and infrared technologies," he adds.
PCI's Aviation Division has been a long standing player on the Indian aviation scene and in keeping with the corporate

philosophy of offering front-end technologies from across the globe, it has tied-up with world leaders in respective fields of this sector. The division offers a vast range of ground-support equipment that complies with not just the latest marketing specifications but also the technical parameters and performance, soundproofing, safety, support, quality etc.
And PCI's Aerospace Division was set up with a clear mission to address the fact that aerospace will have a significant role in the building and the rapid acceleration of the economy of the nation and the region. "Our Aerospace Division addresses the needs of corporate houses, flying schools, hobby and adventure flying needs, for aviation training schools and point-to-point taxi/charter services, " Mehta says.
On the scheme of things in the aviation and aerospace sector over the next 2-5 years, Mehta says, "India is growing and to keep up with this growth, transport - especially aviation - has a

significant role to play and we as a group are focused on that. In addition to making available the entire range of Diamond aircraft to more and more customers, the group has made a foray into giving regional point-to-point connectivity for the Indian air traveller. We have recently acquired Sky Master, a chartered services company.”
Further, the Group is also setting up a MRO - Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul – set up for Diamond Aircraft at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh which airfield is under management and control of the Group Company Skymaster. This MRO Facility shall give the owners of Diamond aircraft the tremendous advantage of professional MRO facilities in a timely and cost-effective manner," Mehta adds.
