Reuses Wash Water

Easy to Install, No Drain and small footprint

Cleans to User-Preset Resistivity Level
Superior Cleaning to MIL-SPEC Standards

The Model 9600 is a true closed-loop cleaning system that washes assemblies to a preselected resistivity level using only recycled DI water. During the wash cycle, the water is continously purified by a series of filters. Replenishment is required only to replace evaporative and dragout losses. All functions of the 9600 are programmable from a control panel, which also contains a printer for program and process documentation. The 9600 is completely contained in a single stainless-steel cabinet, and occupies a small footprint. No is required so it is easily installed.

Aqueous Batch Cleaning in a Closed-Loop System
Water Soluble Fluxes and Pastes (OA, Low-Residue)

The Model 9600 cleans electronic assemblies soldered with water soluble liquid fluxes and pastes (OA) and No-Cleans that do not require chemistry, to a programmed cleanliness level without continously supplied wash and rinse water, and without a drain.

The 9600 has two pumps - the loop pump continously moves water from the heated holding tank through particle, carbon, and two DI filters, delivering clean water back to the cleaning chamber. The main washer motor pumps the water in the sump at a rate of 60 gallons per minute through two counter-rotating spray arms, thoroughly cleaning racked assemblies within the upper and lower 20" square baskets with no shadowing effects.

Heavy metals and other particulate, organic and ionic contamination are thus cleaned continually by the water flooding the assemblies within. Water usage is a minimal, only about .066 gallons (250 ml) per day is lost to dragout and evaporation. Replenishment requirements are so small that the input connection is a small plastic tube similiar to that of a home ice maker. This may be plumbed to a tap water line, or the optional 2-gallon water reservoir may be utilized. Stand-alone with the optional internal dryer, or with the Model 9050 Turbo Dryer for greater throughput, the Model 9600 is the ideal closed-loop solution for cleaning the residues of Water Soluble and No-Clean fluxes and pastes

Rosin Fluxes & Pastes
(R, RA, RMA)

Another application for the 9600 is a rinser for close-looping the 100% semi-aqueous cleaning process, as represented by the ECD Model 6307. The Model 6307 using popular semi-aqueous solvents has nitrogen inertion and exhaust interlocks for safety, and is also ETL approved. The filter set for this application focuses on the removal of organic materials. The recommended 70-liter Decanter option and carbon filters thoroughly remove organics, while a DI filter provides complete ionic rinsing.

Regular decanting greatly extends the life of the carbon filters. A filter tap is provided to monitor the COD level of the first carbon filter.

Sharing most of the features of the water soluble version, this 9600 also has two conductivity senors - one i nthe loop after all the filters and one in the wsh chamber to implement automatic resistivity rinse control as it monitors the cleanliness of your parts. All tempertature, resisitivity, level and machine status readings can be viewed on the control panel display. The Model 9052 Turbo Dryer II is the ideal companion dryer for this application.

To achieve consistently clean boards and to free the operator for other tasks, the Model 9600 is highly automated. Up to 10 programmable recipes may be entered into the system for various combinations of wash (rinse) times, minimum final resistivity, and dry time. Aside from the features of the closed-loop reciculating system mentioned above, the 9600 provides programmable control over all essential functions and parameters. It also incorporates an alpha-numeric display, status indicator bargraph, and printer for documenting program and process information. Some of the programming functions are restricted to supervisory access only. To save energy costs, a 7-day clock is included to turn the system on at preselected days and times to bring the wash water up to operating temperature before the shift starts.

Easily Installed
The Model 9600 was designed for quick and easy installation. Its all stainless steel cabinet contains all system components in one small footprint that occupies a minimum of floor space. Since no drain is needed, it can be situated almost anywhere that electrical power and exhaust is available
